Unfortunately, the hotels in that area of London are a bit old, which is true for many of them. This was our second time staying there as a family. Initially, we couldn't find a room and experienced disappointment with a 4-day reservation at another hotel. On the second day, we immediately switched to the Athena Hotel. The rooms are varied, but we found a room comfortable enough for three people. The room was old but clean, and it had a noise-free, comfortable bed, which was adequate. The breakfast was satisfying, and if you need anything, the staff would come running even at night with a smile. The staff always respected our living and comfort area and always smiled. If you want a respectful and friendly staff, I think Athena is ideal. Additionally, the location is close to all rail systems. If we go again, our only choice in Paddington would be the Athena.

Location was super, our room was very clean and cozy, although a little squashed for 5 people but we managed :) Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We could not fault them. Upon check-out, we asked at reception if we could leave our car while we go to discover London by foot and public transport. The lady was super helpful, looked into their bookings for the day and confirmed that we should be ok to leave the car. That was great help because it is a pain to drive and park in London.

Location very good. 10 minute stroll to Hyde Park. 5 minutes from Paddington Tube. Even though in the centre of Paddington the hotel was set back from the main road so actually quiet. Shops and restaurants/cafes round the corner. The hotel continental breakfast was basic but adequate. Room small but clean. We were given a fan in the room,which we needed due to the excessive hot weather.. I also took an extra smaller fan in the suitcase. Good all round basic hotel.

Breakfast was not included in the price. You had to pay extra to get breakfast. Location was nice. The property will be even better when construction along that bank of hotels is finished. We loved that we could store our luggage locked up there since we were too early for our room to be ready to check in. It is a lovely neighborhood only a few blocks from the Paddington station of the Underground.
