Athena Hotel

Unfortunately, the hotels in that area of London are a bit old, which is true for many of them. This was our second time staying there as a family. Initially, we couldn't find a room and experienced disappointment with a 4-day reservation at another hotel. On the second day, we immediately switched to the Athena Hotel. The rooms are varied, but we found a room comfortable enough for three people. The room was old but clean, and it had a noise-free, comfortable bed, which was adequate. The breakfast was satisfying, and if you need anything, the staff would come running even at night with a smile. The staff always respected our living and comfort area and always smiled. If you want a respectful and friendly staff, I think Athena is ideal. Additionally, the location is close to all rail systems. If we go again, our only choice in Paddington would be the Athena.

Great location, 5mins walk from Paddington station. I had a quiet room on the 4th floor at the back of the property, so could have the window open without being noise polluted. Staff are all super helpful and friendly. Unlike many other London hotels this one has a lift, which is even quite spacious!

Location very good. 10 minute stroll to Hyde Park. 5 minutes from Paddington Tube. Even though in the centre of Paddington the hotel was set back from the main road so actually quiet. Shops and restaurants/cafes round the corner. The hotel continental breakfast was basic but adequate. Room small but clean. We were given a fan in the room,which we needed due to the excessive hot weather.. I also took an extra smaller fan in the suitcase. Good all round basic hotel.

Location was brilliant. Within walking distance to the station and tube. We were able to leave our cases and collect later. Staff were helpful. Clean and tidy hotel. Brilliant that as a family of women we were able to get a hotel that would allow us all to stay in one room.

Everyone was really kind. Breakfast was very good and there was a vast choice. Room and bathroom were essential yet tidy and clean. Position is perfect since is near to Paddington Station were yoi can take different undergrounds lines. There are also a lot of nice restaurants/pubs/bars nearby.
